This has been one hectic year – getting to this moment as FAEOP President - a challenge. I’m sure all of us have felt that pressure from time to time – do I have it – can I do it? You know how you feel when that self-doubt rings in as your confidence shrinks away and hides, and then somewhere from deep in your soul, a little spark is born and soon that becomes a raging fire of assurance and excitement. I am committed to this organization and everything it stands for – that an education is the birthright of every person and the recognition of our unique role as an educational office employee and the importance of the contribution made in such a position not go unnoticed. Our FAEOP Code of Ethics instills teamwork and networking of fellow educational office workers to make it essential to our well being. FAEOP meets that need for me and hopefully for every FAEOP member. I’d like to make it a priority for every educational office worker throughout this state. We are unique and our contributions to education should not go unnoticed!
We all have a spark deep inside that is burning to shine as wild and as fiery as the next new star! I think Saint Catherine of Sienna said it best, “When we are whom we are called to be, we will set the world ablaze.” I see the sparks of talent and knowledge creep into each element of our meetings from the least expectant places to the more familiar ones. When those moments of brilliance explode in a workshop and the discussions are on fire, we are at our best! That’s when we know we are in the right place at the right time, with the right people – letting our facets shine for FAEOP. Join us to set your world on fire!
I want to thank everyone for their support, smiles, and kindness at every turn. Every member of FAEOP is important to me; each has a talent that shines for FAEOP. I want to thank the members of my executive board, the appointees, and chairs of each committee for volunteering their talents.
This is the year to let our Facets SHINE even brighter! Our 60th year – our diamond year of operation! Let’s celebrate together!
“Let Your Facets Shine for FAEOP”
